Swedish Massage

Is Swedish massage right for me?
A form of soft, relaxing and de-stress massage using long, flowing strokes and kneading movements to promote deep relaxation, soothing and de-stressing the body.

In addition to providing all the health benefits usually associated with massage, it shortens recovery time from muscular strain and is great for keeping the ligaments and tendons supple and pliable.

Pressure is applied in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart, increasing oxygen levels in the blood and releasing toxins from the muscles.

Feel free to state your preference for pressure during the massage. Pressure can range from light to firm. Also, let your massage therapist know if you have areas of specific muscle tension you’d like him or her to work on.

Give yourself time to unwind and enjoy the benefits after your massage. And remember to drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins released during your session.
